Myra Hughes

Myra T. Hughes age 72, made her transition on Thursday, April 2, 2020. She was born February 9, 1948 to the union of William Gillespie and Barbara Barker- Gillespie in Chicago, Illinois at Cook County Hospital.

Myra attended Yale Elementary School and Parker High School.

Myra Worked for the Department of Public Aid for many years before retiring.

Myra confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Greater Salem Baptist Church, Under the Leadership of the late Pastor Reverend Leon Jenkins, Sr. 

Myra was known for cooking, speaking her mid and always willing to help others in need. She had a heart of gold and opened her home to everyone. She loved being around family and friends, playing cards and going to the casino.

Myra touched many lives with her generosity and enormous personality. She will be greatly missed.
