Minnie Cage Obituary

Mrs. Minnie Pearl Cage, daughter of Albert Lee Buckley and the late Ada Williams, was born on August 10, 1942 in Enid, MS. At an early age she move to Chicago with her family. She had the love for track. She loved her family and everyone that came in contact with her. Minnie worked at various cleaners/laundry to support her family for 51 years.

At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mount Carmel Bible Church 55 years ago, under the leadership of Elder Whitehead and current  Pastor B.E. Whitehead. Minnie loved her children and her church family dearly. Minnie was a dedicated member until her transition. At Mt. Carmel, she served faithfully as a member of the usher board and was known for being someone, who would tell how she feels in love.

She met her long time spouse, Robert L. Collins of 32 years. Minnie loved her family, friends, traveling and bowling. Bowling was a pastime that she enjoyed with her daughters and spouse. She also enjoyed fishing on the river bank, catching a fish really excited her.

As a result of her generous spirit, beautiful smile, pleasant personality and being very outspoken, her christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
