She was raised along with five siblings: Rosalie Evans (deceased), Robert Evans (Annie Mae), Ruth Thomas, Dale Evans, and Brenda Dison (Cager). She has three half siblings: Lucille, Betty and William Hines.
Margaret's first born child is Rosemary Evans. Margaret relocated to Chicago in 1953 where she was married to Mr. Adam Holmes (deceased). To this union, they had nine boys and 4 girls.
Margaret was a truly remarkable and strong woman. Margaret loved her family, friends and community. She loved to cook for her family and others, and they enjoyed her food.
Margaret was a beacon of comfort. She made everyone around her feel welcomed and comfortable. She loved to laugh and have good times surrounded by people she loved and whom loved her. She loved family gatherings, especially picnics.
Margaret loved church here in Chicago. She was baptized at an early age in her hometown. Her faith was strong. She love the Lord with all her heart. This was evident in how she lived her life; leaning on the Lord for support and without fear. She was a petite lady, but she was mighty, like a giant.
Margaret was the matriarch of her family. She held the wisdom, the history, and was the backbone. The family has lost an amazing woman, but we rejoice in her going home. We lift up into the heavens where her new life begins.
