Marcia McCoy

Ms. Marcia Allayne McCoy was born to the late Audrey Ann Jones-Ntiamoah and Carter McLeod Sr. March 1, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised by her stepfather affectionately known as Da (Papa) who preceded her in death. Marcia attended St. Helena of the Cross Elementary School, Willibrod Catholic High School and Western Illinois University where she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and was known as "Foxy 5." Marcia was known to be funny, sassy and most definitely will tell you like it is.

She became a certified nursing and rehab aide at Illinois Medical Training and held numerous positions including Helping Hands Nursing and Rehab Center. She went on to further her education at Olive Harvey College and pursued a career at Terry Town Nursery School and Children's House Park Forest as a preschool teacher. Marcia married Donald McCoy Sr. in 1989. To this union one son was born Donald McCoy Jr. 

Marcia was an avid basketball and football fan. She loved to cook especially big holiday diners for her family. Her favorite cartoon character was Scooby Doo. She loved watching cooking shows, Home Improvement shows and Law and Order. Marcia adored children.
