Louise Bassett

Louise Bassett was born November 17, 1941 to the late Sammie Davis and Nannie Lyons Beamon in Neshoba County, Mississippi. Louise departed her life on March 31, 2019 at Rush Oak Park Hospital.

Louise was a kind and loving person who gave her life to Christ at an early age under the fellowship of Rev. C.L. Norman of New Genesis Assembly pf God Baptist Church. She served as a greeter. Louise was a strong hard-working woman who worked at Nestle candy company for 35 years before she retired. Louise was a person who never "sugar coated" anything. She would always tell you what was on her mind. Her grand kids were her life. She loved them & had no problem letting them know that. Louise was the person that could walk in a room and put a smile on everyone face. Louise was loved many and will be truly missed.

Louise Davis was married in holy matrimony to Diggs Bassett on August 25, 1954. 

Louise was precede in death by: her husband, Diggs Bassett: Alberta Davis (only child); four sisters, Lois Hudson, Willie Mae Springfield, Marcella Young and Comeah Tatum; one brother, Sammie Daves Jr.

Louise leaves to cherish her memories: two brothers, Willis (Betty) Beamon & Charles (Clara) Davis; one sister, Francis Graham; her grandchildren, Jeanette Davis, Ronald Davis and Donnail (Angela) Davis; five great grandchildren, Crystal, Kevin, Tierra, Tatiana, and Donyae; one great great grandchild, Janyla (Best Friend) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
