Larry Boyd

Larry was born on December 6, 1956, to Lester and Mary Boyd. He was the fourth of six children born to this union. His mother, father and three brothers, Lester, William and Edward preceded him in death. He attended Lucy L. Webb Grade School in Greenville, Mississippi.

Larry was raised in a Christian home; he believed in God and accepted Christ at an early age.

In 1968, the family moved to Chicago, Illinois. Larry attended Carter Elementary School and DuSable High School. In 1974, he met the love of his life, Sandra Smith. On June 3, 1975 they married, and from this union, two children were born, LaToya and LaAfrica.

Having endured the hills and valleys of this life, Larry made his transition from time into eternity on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, in The University of Chicago Hospital at 11:48 A.M.

Larry was humble, kind, very laid back, and had a big smile that would light up any room. He was a generous and free-hearted person. he will always be remembered for his love for everyone, and his favorite sayings: "In a Minute", "Good Looking Out" and ending every phone call with, "I Love You."
