Life of Desiree Cain, began on June 2, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois. She was one of four children born to Richard Oliver Cain Sr. and Willa B Cain. Desiree was a beacon of light to all those fortunate enough to cross paths with her. She was the epitome of a loving and compassionate soul, with a heart that knew no bounds. Desiree's wit and intellect always shone through, making her a joy to be around. It was her smart and witty approach to life that truly set her apart. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This quote encapsulates the essence of Desiree's life and the profound impact she had on those around her.
Desiree was introduced to God at an early age, attending St James Methodist Church. Later as an adult becoming a member of Life Center COGIC in chicago, Illinois.
Desiree attended Tilden High School, going on to receive her business degree at Kennedy King College. Desiree dedicated over 30 plus fruitful years to the City of Chicago as a clerk in the healthcare sector, providing service with unmatched grace and humility. Her work was a testament to her innate ability to connect with people, a trait that was mirrored in her personal life as well. Above all else, Desiree cherished her relationship with God, enjoying Wednesday morning Prayer Sunday service, playing cards with family and friends. She loved working the polls during election time and attending the Bud Billiken parade. Her life was a testament to the quote, "The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love," by William Wordsworth. Desiree lived this quote, sowing seeds of love and kindness wherever she went.
Although Desiree never had children of her own she was a motherly figure to all of her nieces and nephews and especially her great Niece Daisha Daniels.
Desiree leaves to cherish her loving memories to her brothers Andre Deon Cain (Romell), Ronald Cain and half-brother Richard Jones (Nina). All of her cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, great grandnieces, grand nephew’s, great grand nephews, and a host of beloved family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Luther & Eunice Williams, Leland & Sadie Cain, parents Richard Oliver Sr & Willa B Cain, brother Richard Oliver Cain Jr, and niece Adeena Deon Daniels.
The Cain family will like to Thank everyone for your prayers and support. As we say farewell to Desiree, we will like everyone to remember her not with sadness but with a heart full of gratitude for the love and wisdom she shared.
