Demetrius (Meechie - Mebo) Bell was born on October 5, 1969 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He was the sixth of Ida L. Green and the third of Perry Bell.
Meechie would like you all to know that his work here is done. He received a call he couldn't refuse, an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a bonus to reunite with family and friends he hasn't seen in a long time. So farewell, all of my peeps. Go on with your lives and love one another always. My heart and lungs just couldn't take it anymore, so I quietly went to sleep forever.
People who knew Meechie loved him unconditionally. He thought he was the smartest person on Earth. He would always say "I don't have to be educated like you to be smarter than you." He battled to the end with everyone, always thinking he was right (haha). He was one of the funniest people you would ever meet, causing all around him to normally burst out in laughter. There was never a dull moment when he was around, especially at family gatherings. He was high spirited and always willing to help, even when he didn't have much. He was one of the best mechanics and handyman you met. He could fix almost anything. If he were here, he would definitely tell everyone "Stop crying, raise your glasses and don't worry about the small stuff." There is so much we can say about a person that kept all of us on out toes, but just remember he love everyone he came in contact with.
