Mrs. Minnie Pearl Cage, daughter of Albert Lee Buckley and the late Ada Williams, was born on August 10, 1942 in Enid, MS. At an early age she move to Chicago with her family. She had the love for track. She loved her family and everyone that came in contact with her. Minnie worked at various cleaners/laundry to support her family for 51 years.
At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Mount Carmel Bible Church 55 years ago, under the leadership of Elder Whitehead and current Pastor B.E. Whitehead. Minnie loved her children and her church family dearly. Minnie was a dedicated member until her transition. At Mt. Carmel, she served faithfully as a member of the usher board and was known for being someone, who would tell how she feels in love.
She met her long time spouse, Robert L. Collins of 32 years. Minnie loved her family, friends, traveling and bowling. Bowling was a pastime that she enjoyed with her daughters and spouse. She also enjoyed fishing on the river bank, catching a fish really excited her.
As a result of her generous spirit, beautiful smile, pleasant personality and being very outspoken, her christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Sunday, April 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by: her sons, John Cage and Marsolino White: her mother, Ada L Williams: her granddaughter, Shelontay Jackson: grandson, Koty M. Jackson: her sisters, Diane Buckley-Jones, Georgia Buckley, Lillie Hill, Irene Daniel, Vera Harper and her brothers, Jesse Harris, Louis James Buckley, George Buckley, Otis Buckley and Albert "Ted" Buckley.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of: her spouse, Robert L. Collins: loving father, Albert Buckley: children, Goldee Cage of Memphis, TN, Shelax Davis of Seattle, WA, Dorothy Franklin, Rashaad Muhammad (Erika), Durrell Cage (Sabrina) of San Antonio, TX, Shilas Holten (Michael), Felicia Warner (Richard) and Silvonas Hicks (Richmond) of Chicago; Sisters, Lee Bertha, Dean, Wanda ( Joe), Mildred, Margie, Della, Vilean, and Julie (Eddie); brothers, Joe (Angilena), Calvin, Mance, Jesse, Solon, Gerald, EArnest, and Lewis Charles; sisters-in-law, Ruth (Joe), Maylee G and Willie Mae; she has 41 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; two aunts, Lena Wilson and Della Rodriguez; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, Goddaughter, God Grandson and a host of other relatives
