John Jones Sr.

John, affectionately called "Diddy" by his children passed peacefully from his life the afternoon of March 29, 2019 after a gradual decline in health. 

John was born February 22, 1942 to the late Harry and Gary Jones in Theodore, Alabama. His three brothers: Louis, Will, and Cornelius: two sisters, Lessie Mae and Mary : one son-in-law, Jerome,Sr: one daughter -in-law, Lorraine: and two grandsons, Jerome and Andre preceded him in death. John confessed his life to Christ under the leadership of the late Rev. J.B. Dixon at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church in Minter City, MS. 

John leaves to cherish memories in the hearts of his eighteen children: Dell, Johnathan, Vincent, Sean, Sandra "Honey Punch", john J, Sharon, Rodney, Sheila (Jon), La Toyla, Jadhiel (Tawana), Rosalind (Chuck), Lawrence, Morris, Khai, Milton, Leah, and Jason: forty grandchildren: and thirteen great-grandchildren. John is also survived by one brother, Willie: one sister, Callie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
