Delores Bell

Mrs. Delores Bell, was born in Glendora, Mississippi on May 19, 1952 to the union of Rosie Mays and LeRome Mays. Both of her parents and her siblings, sister Jessie Mae Jones and Brother Eddie Ray Jones preceded her in death. Delores was the third of nine children.

Delores attended and graduated from Harrison High School. Delores continued her education at Malcolm X College, where she received her Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems. Delores also attended the Academy of Business School where received her Office Assistant Certification.

Delores loved the Lord with all of her heart and was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. Delores continued her love for Christ at Holy Ghost Tabernacle, under the leadership of Pastor Kyles. At this church Delores was a Sunday School Teacher and the pastor's Aide President, it was here that she met Pastor Jones of Bethlehem Holy Temple. later Delores transitioned to Ambassador Church of God in Christ, where was a missionary and an evangelist and spoke often at Sunday Services.

Delores married her husband Jessie Bell in February of 1981. They welcomed her only child, Jessie LeRome Bell, in October of 1985. Delores was a remarkable mother, she worked hard to provide for her son. They had an unbreakable bond and he remained by her side caring for her when she became ill.

Delores became ill a year and half ago, but was determined to survive. She had a quiet strength, she never complained and always looked to God for Guidance during her time of need. Delores had a special nephew Terrance whom she said "he was sent by God, he saved my life." Terrance cooked, cleaned, went to doctors appointments and prayed with Delores.
