Mother Cherry Grant means was born on August 21, 1924, to the late Fred & Nellie Pearl Grant Sr. in Mosses, Alabama.
Cherry, nickname Sadie, at an early age confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She attended Haynesville A.O.H. Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Roby.

Mother Means is truly a woman of God who was blessed with many mantles, she taught Sunday School, went to pray over the sick, a seamstress, played the guitar and was a Mother of her church.
Her son Robert Bobby Means, her grand-daughter Deborah Caldwell, brothers, Arthur, Fred & Emetrius (Charles) Grant, sisters, Frannie Gilliam, Clara Turner, Ruby Grant, Rosa Nell Bell, Equila Hill, Arilla Maddox, and Willie Leggett, preceded her in death.
