Catrina Jackson

Catrina Jackson, the eldest child of Vanessa Jackson Mooney, was born on November 26, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. Her father was the late Kirkland Tompkins. Catrina accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at First Steadfast Missionary Baptist Church where she sang and directed the choir. Catrina later joined Greater Metropolitan Baptist Church where she was a faithful member until she became ill. Catrina attended Merriville Fuller Elementary School, she graduated in 1986. Catrina also attended King high School, she graduated June 22 1990, she loved her Jaguars. Catrina had a big heart, she helped others in anyway she could. She loved to have a good time, she would plan family and friends gatherings to see all her love ones laugh and enjoy her delicious food. "Catrina could really cook some potato salad and egg pies." Catrina later changed her gatherings to birthday church gatherings, where she would invite her family and friends  to celebrate her birthday at her church home, Greater Metropolitan Baptist Church. Catrina sent out early text messages this year inviting family and friends to her birthday celebration and here we all are, celebrating Catrina's birthday and life. Catrina gained her wings on November 7, 2019 at 2:37 A.M., where she was surrounded by family and loved ones.
